Self-Storage Affiliate Advertising Vans showcase storage locations to customers

Similarly, in the self-storage industry, customers have an ever-growing number of choices of where to keep their precious belongings. With more and more self-storage locations popping up across North America, members of the U-Haul Self-Storage Affiliate Network (USSAN) can set themselves apart from the competition by doing one simple, yet essential thing: advertising to as many people as possible.
As anyone who’s ever turned on a TV knows, there are many different (and usually expensive) ways to advertise a business to potential customers. Luckily, U-Haul offers its Self-Storage Affiliates a form of advertising that is affordable and effective: The Storage Affiliate Advertising Van (SAAV).
Advertising Van success
Through the program, Affiliates receive a brand-new van that is imaged on three or four sides with their business’ name, logo, web address and/or location address, phone number and any promotional specials. This acts as a rolling billboard that helps Affiliates promote their self-storage brand within the local community. In the meantime, the van, like any other U-Haul vehicle, earns a rental commission each time that it’s used.
While some self-storage locations may not have the room to park a 26’ U-Haul truck, a cargo van is the perfect size for parking and display. In addition, because the van is treated the same as any other U-Haul vehicle, Affiliates are not financially responsible for repair, maintenance or liability. Since U-Haul rotates out each van on an annual basis, Affiliates can be sure that their customers will always have access to a 5-Star van for their storage needs.
