Create a Plan
Do you know what you are hoping to gain from the Conference and Trade Show? Write down a list of topics you are interested in learning more about and then review the schedule. Plan a schedule that ensures you attend the events you’ll gain the most from.
Research Ahead of Time
Is there a vendor or exhibit you are particularly interested in? Look through the exhibitors and list whom you need to visit based on your individual business needs.
Prepare Questions
When talking in person with someone, it is easy to get off topic or carried away. Don’t regret later not asking the right questions. Create your questions/concerns/objections ahead of time and write them down. Bring them with you and then ask them. Easy as 1-2-3.
Be Fully Present
Take care of your affairs at home ahead of time. Answering phone calls, texting and e-mailing distracts you. You can’t fully absorb the information you are being presented if you are constantly plugged in.
Network
Introduce yourself to new people and make connections. Bring business cards and pass them out. Don’t forget to collect business cards too.e professional.
